Busy Week

It has been all kinds of CRAZY in my classroom the past couple of weeks.  We have been watching with wonder the life cycle of our Painted Lady butterflies.

We also started our plant study.
We planted some grass seed and the kids were excited when they started to grow.

We read these books about the parts of plants:

After reading the books, we labeled the parts of a plant and made the flip book that tells what each part of the plant does.

If you want some more plant ideas,
you can check out some of my old posts:

We have 25 days of school left.  We can do this!

Check out these cute shirts that I made for my coworkers.

I got the original idea on pinterest but decided to make my own version.  You can grab a copy if you want to make your own by clicking on the picture below.  There is a normal copy and a "mirror" copy.  The iron on transfers that I bought required the mirror image.  They are easy to make.  Just buy your shirt, print a copy of the clip art below and follow the directions inside the iron on transfer packet.

I added these cute tags and peeps to each gift.

You can grab the tag from Kristi over at Lucky in Learning.

Happy Teaching!

One of my coworkers alerted me to this site this week and I have to share.  It is a video encyclopedia.  You simply type in your topic and it will pull up tons of videos about that topic.  I used it last week for solid shapes and found some great stuff!  I found 101 videos about solid shapes.  Here are a few:

Check it out if you haven't already.  You will love it!
