This week we learned the /ar/ sound and I can't teach /ar/ without throwing in a few pirate activities.My students absolutely loved this part, part, whole activity:
This activity can be found in Erica Bohrer's packet "Pirate Math Centers" which is totally worth purchasing. My students loved every activity in her unit.
My coworkers and I dressed up in our pirate get up. (This is actually last year's picture. We forgot to take one this year.)

Doing a few fun pirate activities this week sure made coming back from Christmas break a little easier!
