100th Day and a Sale

We celebrated the 100th day of school on Wednesday.  We didn't spend the whole day celebrating, but threw in a few activities throughout the day.  One of my coworkers informed us that we only have 78 more days of school and 14 more Mondays.  This school year is going fast.

Ahoy Maties!

This week we learned the /ar/ sound and I can't teach /ar/ without throwing in a few pirate activities.

My students absolutely loved this part, part, whole activity:

This activity can be found in Erica Bohrer's packet "Pirate Math Centers"  which is totally worth purchasing.  My students loved every activity in her unit.  

My coworkers and I dressed up in our pirate get up.  (This is actually last year's picture.  We forgot to take one this year.)
